Heat Recovery and Gas Savings
In collaboration with ALUP Kompressoren B.V., we have installed four air compressors, each with a capacity of 16.4 m³/min of compressed air. These compressors are equipped with heat recovery units (HRUs), which are connected to our central heating system via a heat exchanger and buffer tank. Thanks to this technology, we have achieved significant gas savings. From June to December 2024, we reduced our gas consumption by 8,590 m³ compared to the same period in 2023. This is equivalent to the annual gas consumption of approximately 50 households!
Energy-Efficient Pumps
Additionally, in this project, we have replaced two main transport pumps and three smaller pumps with energy-efficient variants. These new pumps have led to an annual saving of 39,436.5 kWh of electricity. This is comparable to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 11 households.
Future Plans
As the technical service department, we have a multi-year plan to make our production more energy-efficient.
